Data Factory is one of four providers approved by the Norwegian Tax Administration to deliver update services connected to the modernized Norwegian Population Register (Folkeregisteret). We help businesses keep personal and customer data up to date - securely, efficiently, and fully automatically.

The Norwegian Population Register is designed to meet today´s digital needs and future demands. After several years of testing, it is now available to all businesses that want to synchronize their internal records with official population data.

Our update services are tailored for companies that do not store national ID numbers (fødselsnummer) in their own systems. This falls under what the Tax Administration refers to as the 'Private Sector Rights Package'. We ensure ongoing updates based on relevant changes recorded in the population register.

Before the update process begins, we perform an initial data cleanse against the register. If the match rate is too low, we can help improve it - either with our products, custom processes, or by acting as a data processor if you have your own agreement with the Tax Administration.

Already have an agreement with the Norwegian Tax Administration for direct updates from the register? In that case, we can take full responsibility as your data processor and ensure that the updates are handled correctly and seamlessly.
